Adding a New Slide

  1. To add a new slide click the Insert menu and select New Slide or click on the Common Tasks toolbar. On the New Slide dialog box there are standard slide layouts including lists, graphs, images, organisation chart, etc. Choose the 'Bulleted List'.
  2. Click in the title placeholder and type in "Good News".
  3. Click in the main text placeholder and type in:
    "Computer sales up 24%"
    "Networks sales up 20%"
    "Support agreements increase by 15%"
    "Able is now a Microsoft Solution Provider"
    "Able opens a new sales showroom in Neath"
    "Able takes on 7 new staff."
  4. Note that the fourth line is too large at 32 point size and has to be reduced to 28. Also a blank line is to be input between each set of three lines. Just press Enter to obtain an empty bulleted line, select the line and click on the Bullet On/Off icon to remove the bullet.

Your slide should look something like this (with a different background):

When it does, change to Outline view to see how the slides are described in text outline.
