Improving ICT Through the Use of the BECTA Self Review Framework

This half day course will give school leaders an opportunity to gain an overview of the BECTA ICT Self Review Framework.

Participants will gain a greater understanding of the eight elements within the framework and how these impact on school improvement. They will be able to identify ways of carrying out an initial review in their schools, identifying elements they wish to focus on and consider future action plans.

Links to the Skills Framework, Common Inspection Framework and the School Effectiveness Framework will be discussed.

This course will address all elements of the BECTA Self Review Framework.

Course Objectives:

• Have a greater understanding of the BECTA Self Review Framework
• Register the school with the online tool
• Understand the eight elements of the framework and recognise potential links between the elements
• Consider a plan for the school involvement in the BECTA Self Review Framework
