Creating New Folders

Setting up a variety of folders can be a real time-saver, for example when dealing with a number of courses or subjects. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open the C: folder in My Computer.
  2. Click on the File menu.
  3. From the File menu, click New and then click Folder from the sub-menu that appears.
  4. A new folder icon will appear with the title New Folder (highlighted in blue and a flashing cursor) underneath the icon. While highlighted you may type in a new title for the folder.
  5. Type in a new title for the folder, in this case, call it Demo. Then press the Enter key.
  6. You will now have a new folder in drive C: called Demo.

It is possible to set up seperate folders for seperate courses eg. GNVQ, HND etc. and keep further folders and files within these folders. Select your staff drive and create two blank folders.
